Creating again!

It's been a loooong time! Doesn't life get interesting sometimes? I decided to take on a HUGE project while my husband was away for a month. He doesn't do so well with mess and chaos (lol), so I decided to paint our condo. Ooooohhh MY! My mind tells me I'm still in my thirties, but my body screams otherwise. (lol) After nearly a hundred hours painting, I had a nasty fall off the top of a stepladder. This put me out of commission for a while. THEN my daughter and her wonderful family moved back home to Nova Scotia after she finished grad school, so I spent some delightful time catching up with my little grand-boys at our summer place.

Ooookay then, so now we're all caught up! (lol) I have beautiful new, fresh, inspirational colours in my life (white with lime green!), and lots of time to play again. THANKS for your e-mails wondering where I am. All's good, and here are some new things from my happy room.

I have two for today's Created by Hand challenge. The theme is "sheltering trees" and/or "green." For this one, I used this Dreamweaver stencil with Dreamweaver white embossing paste, and added a little clear glitter for sparkle. I love this stencil! It's just so "serene" don't you think? (to see lots more Dreamweaver goodness, visit the Dream it Up blog often!)

For this one, I used this Dreamweaver stencil with Dreamweaver Black Matte Embossing paste and this Quietfire rubber stamp, then added a couple of my hoarded stash of Architexture embellishments.

I just finished this card yesterday for a friend who's having some life challenges right now. Her favourite colours are pink and green. I used this Thinking of You stencil with black matte embossing paste, and hand stitched and beaded the ferns pattern. The Stamp Something challenge is to do something flowery. The Craft Challenge is to do anything BUT a square card. The Creatilicious Challenge is to do something 3-d (hope my beaded pattern qualifies!). The Lots to Do challenge is to use shapes. The Practical Scrappers challenge is to use seven different things (I used paper, ribbon, beads, thread, clue, a fabric brad, and black embossing paste).

Now, these cards aren't for any challenges, but they're on display in the Dreamweaver booth at CHA in Chicago this week. The peacock is a brand new stencil, and i just LOVE it! I did it with double sided tape and glitters, and paired it with the Dreamweaver thank you stencil with black matte embossing paste.

This one's done with some wonderful embossed paper from Paper House, the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder, and a Happy Birthday stencil with white embossing paste, and a nice big fat bow.

It's WONDERFUL to be creating again! I'll be back later this week with some new things from Crafty Secrets and Impression Obsession. Life is GOOD! Thanks so much for stopping by today.

How cool for your cards to be displayed at CHA!! Congrats! They are great samples and I'm sure they were photographed (if that's allowed).
