Cuttlebug Be Inspired Challenge # 65

Well, it's been three whole weeks since I've posted anything at all. For shame! (lol) I've enjoyed a wonderful Christmas holiday away with my daughter Erin, her husband Mike, my son Michael, and our four grandboys. As much as I love being with them, it sure is GOOD to be home!

While I was away, I received a surprise e-mail from Maggie, owner of the Cuttlebug Challenge blog, inviting me to design for them. Well, the design team talent over there is tremendous, and since I regularly participate in their great challenges anyway, I said YES.

Here are my first creations for the blog...it's Asian challenge week. I hope you'll visit and perhaps join the challenges! These cards also fit this week's "Cute Card Thursday" challenge...use something new. I used some beautiful new Asian Chiyogami papers for my iris folding and kimono cards.

I used Asian Chiyogami papers for this iris folded kimono, and a Cuttlebug tag die for the belt.

Stamps for this card are from Stamp It Australia.

Okay, can you believe I actually MADE this knot!? (lol) I used Mizuhiki cord. Those who know me are aware of my spatial challenges; this little embellishment took me longer to make than all the cards combined!

The belt embellishment here is an old earring, I lost its matching partner, so it now has new life!

THANKS for stopping by today...if I have a link, I'll stop by your place too!

Congratulations to you, my friend, on joining in on the Cuttlebug team. What an asset your artwork will be as well as truly creative inspiration. I'm so sorry we didn't get together while you were out this way. I hope on your next ravels "west" we can. I need to soak in your creative inspiration.

As always...your work and samples are outstanding!!

Deborah,
Congratulations!!! Wonderful cards. I am so happy to see the iris folding kimonos done in cards. I think iris folding is a nice medium.
You have a great site.
