Today is a free theme for the Dream Team and for the Simon Says challenge...my favourite! I recently taught an intro class at Carousel Rubber Stamps in Dartmouth. The gals who attended enjoyed it so much that we've scheduled an intermediate and an advanced class as well! I LOVE seeing people excited about learning new techniques! We did three that were simply basic paste embossing, using ribbon to meet the Created by Hand challenge:
Then we did these, the first with Memories Mists on glossy cardstock, and the second with Smooch Inks on glossy cardstock. These are SO easy to do, and yield SUCH pretty results! Just spray the inks on the stencil, gently life the stencil (I use tweezers), lay it ink up on a piece of scrap paper, gently place glossy cardstock (glossy side down) over the inked stencil, and brayer. Using your tweezers again, gently peel the image off the stencil. Every image you do will be different! I'm playing along with Charisma Cards challenge (April showers/May flowers) with these irises:
For Mother's Day, for the Sisterhood challenge . I also used this clock from a wonderful Etsy shop as inspiration, for the Etsy inspired challenge # 136:

Wow Deborah! These cards are so classy...I absolutely love the iris technique too...the inks you used really make it look like watercolor. Bet your students had loads of fun with you as the "teach".
Wow, Deborah. This was a great class. Nothing "basic" looking about these cards. Glad you're back!
Great cards Deborah. Love the iris!

Awesome techniques! I'm such a fan of Dreamweaver stencils and the variety of uses and you most certainly keep me inspired!
Very pretty work. I keep forgetting about the memory mist technique! I will have to try it for myself.
Deborah great works! Beautiful cards are it.
