Pay-it-forward blog candy, set # 1

To celebrate my brand-spankin'-new blog, I have a little blog candy to send to somebody. There are two little sets of new acrylic stamps posted here. This set contains a Heidi Swapp stamp and two Rhonna Farrer stamps. This is Set # ONE. To win this set for a friend, you need to do two things: leave a comment here telling me who should get the candy and why (The best answer wins!), and drop in to sign the guestbook at the bottom of this page. The package will come as a little surprise to your recipient, so if you want to keep the name a secret here, that's ok too. If you win, you'll need to provide me with a name and address. The package will include these three acrylic stamps, of set # 1, and a handmade card from YOU, which will actually be made and mailed by ME. You can choose either a hand-stitched or a hand-stamped card. Sound complicated? It's not! Just play! You can also sign the thread below to play for Set # 2 if you like.

Oh my, who to choose to honor? Right now the person that comes to mind is a dear friend, Margaret, who I was shopping with at a craft store recently. She's not a stamper, but had a baZILlion questions about stamping, was fascinated with the acrylic stamp phenomenon, and I think with just a *teensy* push she could be tempted into the world of stamping! She's incredibly creative, always has a project going, and I just would love to see her blessed with this addiction too! :)

Myrna deserves this blog candy because she is such a sweet person. She leaves comments on all my cards in the gallery. I don't think a card goes by, from anyone, that is without a comment from Myrna. Myrna recently celebrated her birthday and was so touched by all the well-wishes, that she sent a lovely photo thank-you card to everyone who left her well-wishes on the SS. Myrna truly is a wonderful person & is very generous with her kindness, to others.

My answer for this one is the same for the other set. I would like to keep it secret so they can be surprised. I have a differnt person in mind for this on though!

I would chose to have it sent to Chelsea (spredbirds) so she will feel even MORE guilty for killing me w/her awesome circle journal. LOL She just sweet and needs more stamps, I'm sure :)

What a very generous offer, Deborah. I would love to see you send these to my swapping/stamping friend Lesa. She is recovering from surgery and facing chemo & radiation. I think she could use a bit of art therapy to distract her from her physical body which is not cooperating with her at the moment.

I would like you to send these to my mom, Donna. She has been there for me lately and for her 2 sisters also. Both of her sisters are now type 2 diabetics as is she. Mom is a stamper and makes these awesome creations that she shares with everyone.

I would honor my cousin Cherie with the card. Her husband is stuggling with cancer now. They have gone through this for several years, and now the cancer has spread to his bones. I would want her to be lifted up and encouraged as they go through all this.

I would love to send this to a lady that I've never met before. I know her mom from a Yahoo group. This lady has 5 children and is quite poor. She loves to scrapbook and stamp but doesn't have any money to spend on supplies. Thanks!

What a great idea! You have a wonderful new blog too!
I think the sets should definately go to *Allison* this is her blog link: http://stampinwhenican.blogspot.com/
Without her most of the people would not have found new people at all. She must work constantly keeping the blogs all organized and categorized. She rocks thats all there is to it.

I agree with Pattyjo; this stamp set should go to Allison of http://stampinwhenican.blogspot.com/
I wouldn't have found your blog without her! I have never personally met Allison, but she is the hub of information for papercrafters. I check her blog a few times every day, and she deserves blog candy!

This is so funny because I came on with the intention of nominating Allison too! I've won blog candy because of her, as so many of us have. I can't think of anyone who is more deserving of a Pay It Forward than Allison:)

I agree!! Allison deserves this reward for all the hard work she puts into her blog!

I would like to nominate my friend Lisa. She moved away from California to Utah, and again to Washington. I was afraid that we would lose contact or the distance would come inbetween. However we have become better friends and cherish the one weekend we are able to get together a year to scrapbook.
I miss her!

I already know who my friend is. She's a stamp addict, so she's sure to love it!

I think my sister could use a little surprise. She recently had a baby, which was born premature due to Mom being Toxemic, baby is doing fine, however my sister has a bloodclot in a vein on the outside of her brain. She is on meds and she should be fine. As a result of the clot and little "episodes" she was having because of it, she is not allowed to drive until December, so unless someone is available to take her shopping (which is difficult because we all work full time) she is housebound (thank goodness it's summer) or limited to going places she can walk. She has just started stamping, just before the baby was born, and I think this would brighten her day as she has difficulty getting anywhere to purchase supplies.

This is so funny - the first person who popped into my mind was also Allison from "Stampin When I Can". She does so much work keeping all the blogs organized for us! She's an amazing mom and such a wonderful person. From reading her blog, she seems to have such a positive attitude. I think she deserves a reward for all her hard work on our behalf.

What a neat Blog Candy! I really like this idea!
Oh my it is hard to choose. I have it narrowed down to two people but I guess I would choose my son Joshua. I know that probably sounds strange because he is a fella but he has shown such interest in my hobby ever since I first started. He even went to my SU! demonstrators retirement open house for last years stamps and the premier of the new stamps. He made two cards and had a great time. I've been thinking about getting him oh of SU!s card kits actually. So I think these stamps would be great for him to get started! (of course "mom" can supply the other stuff he will need. But what a great thing for him to get in the mail. I can just see the look of delight and confusion!
Plus...it would be really nice to have something to share with my boy that is creative...specially since he moved out a year ago and we only see each other on Sundays now!

I would like my friend Diana to get it. SHe recently moved to Texas from Michigan and her hubby is being deployed to Iraq soon leaving three itty bitties back home. Diana will need some happy mail while the rest of the world goes nuts around her.

I would like you to send this Candy to my best friend and co-worker Kara. She is a fellow crafter, but has not been sucked into the stamping world too much yet. But once my latest SU order comes in, she'll be hooked! After I started stamping, she started feeling the creative bug get her and started designing some cards of her own. She'd love to have even more stamps! Thanks for the chance!

(I'm not sure, but I think I hit the wrong button and lost my first post. If 2 show up, I'll delete one.) I'd choose my mother for this one. She just turned 86 and she loves to get my hand-stamped cards. When she gets a simple one, she'll say, "I'll bet I could do something like that," yet she hesitates to try. If she had a set of her own, I think she'd do it and enjoy it. A close 2nd would be Allison. What a treasure she is to all of us for doing "the heaving lifting." Thanks for letting us play along.
