This week's Created by Hand challenge is to use patterned and/or "fancy" papers in creating. This fabulous florentine paper I used on the side of my card is one of my very favourites, and I hoard every precious little piece! I thought it was a nice fit for the Turkish castle. Okay, it's NOT Turkish, it's in India, and it's the Taj Mahal, how could I NOT know that? How embarrassing! Thanks for the education Elaine. The plainer, distressed paper is Basic Grey, and the gold is metallic, from a Local Stamp Store. The paper and the sentiment stamp are available from Quietfire Design .
Thanks so much for visiting my blog today.

This is beautiful patterned paper. And your card is so lovely. Great job.
Nice paper and good match for the Taj Mahal
Oh, Deborah, this is a Wonderful!Although it's Turkish, it makes me think of the Taj Mahal and Ghandi combined with a saying from the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Dag Hammarskjold, makes this piece not only beautiful, but thought provoking!
Oh Deb this is really delightful.
Love it.
Lovely card - it all goes so well together.
This is a lovely card very well laid out and the patterned paper suits it wonderfully.
I love the elegance and simplicity of this piece. Your patterned paper is lovely and reminded me that I have some special patterned paper tucked away. Thanks for the reminder LOL
