The current Gothic Arch theme is “Marie Antoinette.” I did mine a little differently. I needed dinner party invitations for several friends we’re travelling to Paris with in September, so I thought it might be fun to incorporate the Gothic Arch theme into the invitations. I started by pouncing Broken China Distress Ink on a craft sheet, spritzed it with water, dipped glossy cardstock into it, heat dried, then overstamped the Eiffel Tower (Hero Arts) with Memento Black Ink, and attached it to the base cardstock with dimensional foam. I stamped and gold embossed these beautiful Crafty Individuals flourishes in the corner. The Fleur di Lis border punch is EK Success. The watercolour image is a Marie Antoinette rose, to pick up on the sentiment. I don’t think anyone will “get” the rose though (lol)...a bit too subtle...such a FUN card to make though!
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today!

WOW, this is so gorgeous, brilliant idea, hope you all have a great Parisian holiday!
Very nice! I am thoroughly enjoying what everyone is doing and think this will be a great exercise/challenge program to venture out in.
Thanks for your feedback on my initial venture! (Paris in the fall will be gorgeous.....I will be doing a Danube River cruise with 3 lady friends just before Christmas and just know it will be a winter wonderland!)
oh la la! Deborah this is soooo fabulous! thank you for playing!
I love it! Looks like you did get out your craft sheet and distress inks!! Your arch is really stunning!
Brilliant idea! I love what you did! (I'm so envious you are going Paris! Take a picture of Versailles for me!) Great job! Thanks for participating!

Deborah, what a beautiful invitation! That's a great preview of the fun time you are going to have in Paris.
My stamp is Purple Onion Designs, I believe. It is an unmounted rubber stamp.

It's a good idea, I hope you have a good trip, In Versailles, "le Trianon", "la ferme", "les jardins de Monsieur Lenôtre".......
Really great card that has a purpose AND you get to go to Paris! Also enjoyed the quilt card in the previous post. I'm always awed by anyone's stitches ~ hand or machine.
Gorgeous and delicate imagery.
Hi, Deborah! I love your elegant Pre-Paris invitations! The gold flourish in the corner really accents the tag. And I love how you made the tag! It is so gorgeous! The old english style letters really fit your theme, too! :-)
By the way, I've nominated you for The Circle of Friends Blog Award as part of my first blogoversary celebration. I appreciate your frequent visits and comments! It means so much! :-)
